A Girl Can Dream

Being given the freedom to chose absolutely any job in the world is a little confronting. The thought of loving everyday and blissfully writing for the pages of Vogue seems like such a long way off. But at this point, that is where my head is at.

I love to write and from a young age felt like I was good at communicating. From there my love of English grew and it soon became my favourite subject at school. As I outgrew the phases of being a hairdresser and primary school teacher I became rather infatuated with the talented Karl Stefanovic. Journalism was the perfect fit.

It is strange to think that a television personality can dictate someone's career but he certainly did that for me. I wanted to be funny and serious and someone the public respected. I wanted to write stories that mattered but also make people laugh and have some fun along the way. However as I matured I also grew a love for all things beauty related. From mascara to blush, bronzer to concealer and all the things in between my favourite part of the day was essentially painting my face. Combining my two favourite things in the world, writing and beauty, lands me at the front doors of Vogue Magazine. With their bold statements in the beauty realm and their extreme passion for the fashion industry, I could not imagine a better place to see myself in the future. If I could have any dream job becoming a beauty editor there would definitely be it.
